Defocused Chaos Wallpapers

Some time ago, I found myself needing a wallpaper that would feel motivating during long working hours, while at the same time not being distracting. I also wanted something neutral and aesthetically pleasing enough to use as a background when streaming on YouTube and showing my desktop on screen.

So I created a series of images entirely in Photoshop using abstract shapes and colors that don’t represent anything in particular. They are intentionally out of focus, with soft blurring and a bokeh-like effect in the highlights.

For me, these images are not really “art,” because I never intended to express anything specific with them. Instead, they fulfill a practical need and make my daily work at the computer more comfortable.

For that reason, I’d like to share them with you. The wallpapers are optimized for dual-monitor 4K desktop setups, since that’s the configuration most artists tend to use, but they can also be used on a single screen or on more than two monitors, as I’ve done myself on more than one occasion.

I hope you enjoy them!
